My bad its in Spanish, I forgot to translate. The first line shows the available land in sq meters of each area or city, and the 3rd line one shows the density of each area. As you can see the OPCH has less density than any other city or area, because of the larger area witch will also be mix with residentials unlike others.

3rd line is density that the operation is going to have. Is one of the biggest urbanistic projects in EU. Its been in hold for 15 years till now because the land was taken from homeowners for the railway when it was built and the hold city bus parking, there was some legal battles to who the land belong after the plans, because the old owners wanted their land back or be paid more.

I can show you all the infrastructure plans, if you want me to. Train, new train stations, highspeed train, new metro line, they going to put part of the railroad and highway underground, new bus station... some of these already taking place now.

We know is going to happen and happen big because Madrid is **** about public transportation, and wouldn’t build such thing without proper infrastructure. The budget for infrastructure is huge and most of the building start this summer or beginning 2012.

Because either other stats had improved La Défense's statistics or there was nothing more actual available!

I agree about Warsaw . But Madrid, let's be serious : 4 skyscrapers + 8 or 9 high-rise buildings... How can you say it's underrated.....

By the way, nice pics of la Défense (especially Granite Tower one).. Thank you !!

Yes they are a bit lonely but the sunset will give them some company soon. I can't wait, is going to be an interesting tower to see going up. Such a weird shape for a highrise, so different. I really want to follow this build.

That is true. However it lacks a good composition and the so-called 'architectural hill' (not sure about the term in English... there may be some more specific word for that). For instance, Frankfurt and even more so Le Defense are great examples of that and this is also the reason why they are two best skylines in Europe at the moment. Madrid's skyline has got 4 amazing towers which are some of the best (if not THE best) in Europe architecturewise, however such skyline still looks flat and lacks variety in heights. So basically it needs a bunch of shorter towers and possibly one more which would be taler than the existing 4. But for now it's no competition to Frankfurt or Paris.

i think than barcelona is more beautifull and this skyline is more impressive than liverpool or birmingham

barcelona have 2 zone with skyscrapers
1º diagonal mar - forum
2º gran via - fira

and a lot of skyscrapers whit 70-100m in the city : torres mafre- hotel arts 154m // torres tarragona street // in the south of diagonal ....

The social model of France isn't bad, but still the social systems of the BeNeLux and the scandinavian are much better.

but i love la défense...
