I've been in Spain many many times (Barcelona -several times- , Donostia/St Sebastian -many many times- , Seville, Alicante, Bilbao, Pampelona, Santiago etc) and it's a great country !! Same for Portugal which is very beautiful and Italy which is one of the hearts of the CULTURE (architecture, arts, food, wines, clothes/fashion, beautiful cars, beautiful movies, design etc) !!
Of course Spain is not the wealthiest country in Europe, but Italy is one of the richest in the world, with many great firms and industries etc...

Of course Spain, Portugal or Greece are not Germany UK or France but, I think, like in France or Switzerland for example, there are some uneducated people and some educated others !

Cheers from France !!

I've never been in Benidorm too.. but it's a German/Dutch city !!

That's YOUR opinion not the opinon of everybody

you hate commieblocks cities but you like benidorm ? LOL
1. At least in South America 95% of favelas do have electricity. About 70% have clean water and at least half of them have sewage. In fact most favelas count with supermarkets, shopping centres, schools and hospitals. Limas third largest mall is located in a place that started as a favela. I know commieblocks are better, but saving distances I mention that commieblocks were the ugly face of European cities as favelas are the ugly face of South American cities.

2. Yeah their are some good projects of tall towers in Europe, but most of them are average from what ive seen here. In La Defense very few are ok.

3. What I hate from commieblocks is the fact that are many identical buildings side by side. In Benidorm some buildings have the Commieblock desgin but their are not identical and their function is different, although both contribute to gentrification.

You are the one with an inferiority complex. Italy in Spain in any random street have more culture than the whole of Switzerland. Name any artist hailing from your great country.

I'm sure the woman did her laundry in the river.

Dude, learn some english, what are you trying to say?

Now, get a book and start reading! You could obviously use the mental refreshment (again, no surprise to me).

Dude, you're belittling the wrong guy and nation.

One of the most famous chinese buildings today was built by famous swiss architects.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beijing_National_Stadium

Peter Zumthor won the Pritzker prize this year, which is considered the nobel prize of architecture http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Zumthor

Switzerland is even on par with france in this case and beats spain and germany! For our relatively small nation a superbe achievement.

And the pioneer in modern high-rise, Le corbusier, was swiss. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corbusier

I could go on and on ...

You're so cheap that I had to make a little demonstration. And with all due respect to chinese philosophy, use some phrases westerners actually understand and if you post chinese proverbs, give us a link.

I'm Dutch. What I obviously meant is that your little country has had little impact on European history compared to the countries of the Mediterranean you so sweetly despise. So it's could be argued that these countries represent Europe much more.

As a Dutchman I can also say that Rotterdam is quite ugly. If you want to see proper highrises you should come to Hong Kong. Anyway maybe you should better stay in your village with your like felllow narrow minded, ignorant and uneducated people.

If you really think that people in Spain drinks water out of buckets, you are a truly ignoramus.

By the way, Benidorm is ugly as hell but actually it's a nice summer location, full of nice people, parties, good beaches and spectacular weather.

You're kinda cute when you get angry.

As for uneducated, maybe you should take a few more english classes and read a few more books before you treat others as uneducated! Or basically just stop arguing with me ...

SWITZERLAND

Man, stop eating chocolate and sleeping with cattle, exit to your country friendly of tax evaders.

I was born in Switzerland (Winterthur) and not change your small and boring country for my country. Come and go to bed, you have to sleep.

Oh dear ... tongue in cheek? The british should understand, right? Luckily the tourists truly drink out of buckets, but it's beer. That makes it more awesome.

Meh ... I would never ever go back to spain, even for free. If I want the best beaches, nice and open minded folks and reasonable rates, I go to latin-america.

But hey that's just my opinion, right? Unfortunately, many people do share this feeling with me. If not on this forum, maybe some people who actually spent a longer period of time there (as I did).

Good luck arguing who's hot and who's not. It's a nice little game, if people actually knew what's going on around them.

bye

Nice shots but to be honest the thread is getting ruined by an idiot who does not deserve any attention.
