Not bad. But didn't you have a look at my recent photo show of the Frankfurt skyline?

You seem to forget Canary Wharf! Eventually these two clusters will link up,especially now we've got Stratford City being built in the middle.

I think London's skyline has a great future, but now I don't like it, only Canary Wharf. Paris, same as London, has great projects for the future and it's the most charming. The cluster is good, but the buildings aren't too beautiful. Warsaw has impressive shape and I like the old and beautiful building in contrast with the new ones. Anyway, it doesn't have good density yet. The cluster isn't strong, it's lacking buildings. Maybe in the future, Warsaw will be the best, but now it's definitely not. Rotterdam doesn't convince me and Madrid is a fabulous city, but it's not in discussion yet, when we talk about skyline. It's good looking in some views, but it's lacking buildings yet. The new towers are really pretty, but Madrid needs more, like "Operacion Chamartín". On the other hand, Barcelona has good quality, creativity and the cluster is good. The only thing it needs is more height.

Frankfurt has high quality and height. I think it goes for it, for now.

Paris has the densest of all European skylines. It's just...the towers are boring and boxy.

Actually, I hate how London is spoiling it's historic skyline (that already has suffered quite a bit) more and more... I hope they don't tear down any historic buildings, to build those modern structures...
Berlin, for example, is going the exact other way right now. In the the near future, one new reconstructed dome (Castle) and one new reconstructed church tower (Parochial Church) will adorn the skyline.

edit:
Never noticed before, how ugly the pillars of that Millenium Bridge look.

Really? And what about all the huge developments happening over in the Docklands that will at least double the size of the existing cluster?

in my mind, docklands is part of London ... the pic represents the City of London but of course others great developments are happening in this side of London. just a slightly representation of what London will look like soon

But the City of London (financial district) skyline is hardly historic anymore. Since the 50s, box after box have blocked out the old buildings and church spires.

Many old buildings are still there, only they´re hidden beneath a layer of modern office buildings. The new skyscrapers are giving back London its skyline. You could not possibly tear down every modern office blocks just to get the old buildings back in view again. Along the river front such a plan would work though I guess.

Anyway, the western part of London is still where most of the historic buildings are.
