Unhappy

I have seen enough mosques in my life. there are every where; in every street! It was better if they built schools or libraries instead of those wastes.

Why it is a waste? religious buildings can never be a waste! and there must be much mosques in Iran beceause we have a big muslim population and most of the mosques in Iran are from the Shah time . and big city's like Tehran with 14million of Mashad almost 3million population does need much mosques. (I'm not religious)

It is a waste because as Persiancat said there are atleast 2-5 mosques in a neighbourhood and khomeni mosque is already large enough to host religious people. The mosalla is taking ages to build and when it will open traffic in the area will increase rapidly. It also has no historical significance so we can't say it'll be something like Hagia Sophia that attracts tourism and money.

Ok I agree, But they aren't building that much mosques now, yes one in Isfahan and the mossala in Tehran and a few others that are very little so they aren't building that much mosques in Iran at the moment. yes it doesn't bring money but people can atleast go praying and the Khomeini mosque is near Behesht Zahra that's Far in South Tehran do you know actually how far that is!! xD just imagine someone that lives in North tehran of Central must go in the hot summer or Cold winter all that way to get there. Imam Khomeini Mosque is good for people that leaves in The South of Tehran.even from there it is an other 10-12KM I think..

People can pray at their homes. Besides not 100% of Tehran or any other towns go to a mosque. so we don't need so many. 4 or five huge mosques per cities is fine, but not 4-5 mosque per district!

one modest mosque per every 10,000 people is enough, but yea, instead of building massive mossallas they should build schools honestly,

i saw some pics from the village school i wanted to cry, they studeid in an abandoned bus

it already will become a tourist attraction, just like the cn tower lol, cn tower in toronto is not historical, but its "cool", and to have a mosque the size of a city, that has minarets larger than a russian spacecraft, is really cool and will attract many people

it doesnt sound crazy at all LOL

just let them build stuff atleast, its better than putting the money in their pockets. and later on when everything in iran is different they can switch the mosques to schools etc
