Yes, better, but still too much oval.

Another shit proposal. You can't polish a turd, the stadium is crap in terms of its design and structure as the stands are both too shallow and too far away offering a poor experience for spectators. This is nothing more than a bad cosmetic job.
Really, they should build a new ground where these mistakes can be eliminated. The desire many have in Brazil - or even much of South America it seems - with 'improving' these horrible concrete bowls built between the 50s-70s is bizarre to say the least. |

I have to say that I'll be disappointed if these renovations were to take place.
Morumbi Stadium is my all-time favorite stadium in Latin America. It beats River Plate, Estadio Unico, and Maracanã. Personally, I loved how Morumbi Stadium looked like "the Rose Bowl of South America". I don't get all these South American stadiums adopting the roof-over-the-stands design. |

Jesus, you have a bad taste, don't you? Or maybe you don't know much about south american ones. This stadium is garbage and has always been so. Tear it down and build a brand new one, please. |

If you spend a fortune on a stadium that will be 'not that bad' already before spending, you can be sure that in 10 years it will be really bad. Standards are getting higher, this venue is not.

Is the athletic track being used? If fo was it worth keeping it? They should have gotten rid of it to get the stands closer to the pitch.

The city council has approved the construction of the roof, it still lacks the authorization to build the hotel, the works of the roof should begin in a few days.

Today São Paulo FC received from the city council the licenses to build the roof and the called "Arena 25", space to concerts within the stadium. The works expects to take 18 months. The club also bought 40.000 new seats.

Hi everyone,
I'm reading this forum for some time and I decided to make my registration in order to discuss with you all those projects around Morumbi Stadium. Since I love this subject, I proposed on the football forum that I have with some friends a project where the club owner of this stadium could build a brand new arena in the other side of the city, using an area that is now very devalued and depreciated. Although it is an utopic project, I really got interested on this and would like to share the ideas with you all in order to check what could be done for real and what is fantasy... Is there any area on this forum to post it? Cheers! |
