got some info from NS planner.
height of 138 Walker st- 117m (RL178m) which is slightly higher then beaumonde. it wont be getting approval due to being in a 5storey height zone, lol also the 29storey Hotel at 16 Mount st will be 100m tall and looks like getting approved.

It's amazing how many dwellings are down in that valley. Sydney is just full of these hidden surprises.

I was looking at the web site of Smart Design Studio and came across these pictures of 'Walker Street Apartmments'; does anyone know anything about the building? I thought it may have been the DA zulu69 posted, but it's a different architect and, I think, further up Walker Street. I really dig it.

It's recent - part of Beau Monde appears in the skyline render
![]() It's different to Zulu's drawings but looks just as good. Good setbacks on the upper floors & I love overhang.

The tower that zulu posted was for 136-140 Walker St, whilst papervaginas is for the site next door, 144-150 Walker Street. I've seen models of both towers plus for a couple of others (including the 30 storey hotel proposal for Mount St) which I'll post later

The model photos as promised
16-40 Mount St - This tower combined with 100 Pacific Highway will ensure the formation of a wall of skyscrapers along the Pacific Highway ![]() ![]() 136-140 Walker St (Zulu's tower) ![]() ![]() 144-150 Walker St (papervaginas tower) You'lll notice some building envelopes here as well suggesting that there is even more development on the cards for this part of North Sydney ![]() ![]()

Wow - I'm working at 12 Mount St tomorrow (was there today too), I'll take a pic of the site.
The lower part of this building is current car park and the taller part will replace what's currently a very scruffy (or even vacant) Telephone exchange. |
