The small island of Pulo Ana in Palau is actually near Davao region. Take note of the canoes. Pacific islanders use canoe not banca or balanghai. Masana could actually be Masara, the gold town in Maco where Apex Mining is located.

About Ophir From wiki

The Kitab al-Magall states that in the days of Reu, a king of Saba (Sheba) named "Pharoah" annexed Ophir and Havilah to his kingdom, and "built Ophir with stones of gold, for the stones of its mountains are pure gold."
In the Cave of Treasures, this appears as: "And the children of Ophir, that is, Send, appointed to be their king Lophoron, who built Ophir with stones of gold; now, all the stones that are in Ophir are of gold."
The version in the Conflict of Adam and Eve says: "Phar’an reigned over the children of Saphir [Ophir], and built the city of Saphir with stones of gold; and that is the land of Sarania, and because of these stones of gold, they say that the mountains of that country and the stones thereof are all of gold.

n a book found in Spain entitled Collecion General de Documentos Relativos a las Islas Filipinas, the author has described how to locate Ophir. According to the section "Document No. 98", dated 1519-1522, Ophir can be found by travelling from the Cape of Good Hope in Africa, to India, to Burma, to Sumatra, to Moluccas, to Borneo, to Sulu, to China, then finally Ophir. Ophir was said to be "[...] in front of China towards the sea, of many islands where the Moluccans, Chinese, and Lequios met to trade..." Jes Tirol asserts that this group of islands could not be Japan because the Moluccans did not get there, nor Taiwan, since it is not composed of "many islands." Only the present-day Philippines, he says, could fit the description. Spanish records also mention the presence of Lequious (big, bearded white men, probably descendants of the Phoenicians, whose ships were always laden with gold and silver) in the Islands to gather gold and silver.[9] Other evidence has also been pointed out suggesting that the Philippines was the biblical Ophir.

I tend to believe that the Tagalog language was proof that Solomon's mines were indeed located in this archipelago country since Solomon's time, and that the Tagalog language may be borne from the inter-action between Solomon's Hebrew subjects and our native ancestors in trading gold for his Temple. The intriguing thing was some basis pointed to Mindanao as the highly possible location for Ophir, especially, based on my research, with the arrival of the Knights Templar survivors who arrived about 2 centuries before Magellan.

That event literally answered my personal quest for answers as to why some of our Indigenous folks exhibited caucasian features (evident on the image posted of a Bagobo family), and will answer why our ancestors seem to be cosmopolitan in approach to Magellan's fleet (other than the prediction of the Bagobo Peoples that they were the offsprings of Toglai and Toglibon's lost children) and why Rajah Culambu already worshipped the heavenly Deity "Aba" (Abba).

but not as near as to sail from Palau to the "4 small islands" (I believe this is the Surigao-Leyte area) in a single day. Palau islands's land formation also may not seem to fit into the "circumjacent" description, except in the gulf of Samar, or more excitingly, even Davao Gulf

but you mentioned about "Pozon," or referred to it as the Pusan Point. These islands were mentioned only after Magellan set sailed to Cebu. If you put it that way, then the first mass may not even be in Limasawa (least likely because the term actually meant "di(li) Mazzaua"), or even Masao in Butuan, but still in Davao Region????

Ancient Indigenous Tribe Narrates Identity of All Tribes in The World Originated From Cibolan in Davao, Philippines

Read more: http://www.bukisa.com/articles/59052...#ixzz1cVAQ9HhJ

Quote:
Ancient knowledge of the Bagobo People's, an Indigenous Tribe from Davao, Philippines claimed that all tribes in the World originated their identities from the land of Cibolan located in the foothills of Mt. Apo in Davao, Mindanao Island, Philippines. This article is an attempt to vindicate the tribe's ancient knowledge that was passed from generation to generation.
Quote:
Thousands of miles from Sibulan in Davao, Philippines, across the vast Pacific Ocean, the Native Indians of continental America claimed of the legendary golden cities of “Cibola.” Spanish conquistadores attempted to search for and failed to find it, and Western Literature immortalized the place as “El Dorado.” The natives said that it was to be found to the north of Mexico. Could the Bagobo People’s be right in claiming that all tribes in the World, Native Americans included, would still remember the place of their origin, in Cibolan? Ridiculous it may seem, for how could the legendary cities of “Cibola” remembered by Native Americans be linked with the claims of the Bagobo People’s thousands of miles and seas and far in the foothills of Davao’s Mt. Apo, in Mindanao Island?

Quote:
However, legends spoke of the ancient continent of MU, or Lemuria that supposedly existed hundreds of thousands of years ago. This great continent was said to occupy the vast portion of the Pacific Ocean that once stetched from the shores of Japan, the trenches of the Philippine Deep and the Marianas, the Easter Islands, and along the western coast of present day Alaska and California. The legendary continent was said to have finally sunk about 22,600 years ago. Intriguingly, portions of MU in Alaska and California were indeed located, as the Native Americans directed of the legendary Cibola, to the “north of Mexico!” could it be that the ancient forefathers of the Native Americans, escaping from the drought in Cibolan, travelled further up north then finally to settle in the continents of America, just as the ancient ancestors of the Bagobo People’s had narrated?

Scientific findings revealed however, that such phenomenon as the legendary sinking of Lemuria may have occured in the areas of the Pacific Ocean by a natural geological process known as Subduction. In such phenomenon the crust of the Pacific Ocean continually moved deeper ( and still does at about 3 in. per year) towards the Marianas Trench and the Philippine Deep, which partly explained the awesome depth achieved by these trenches. The crust are then “cooked” by the mantle, forming hot magma eventually spewed by volcanoes, with new islands furthermore born, and from such geological phenomenon the volcanic islands of the Pacific, as well as the Philippine archipelago, were created.

Quote:
Further evidences revealed of an ancient sunken city discovered underneath the waters of Yonaguni, Japan, where divers eerily discovered not just ancient streets and platforms, but amazing sculpture of a human figure wearing feathered headrest otherwise associated with the Native Americans! And furthermore intriguing were such sculpted figures that undeniably reminded of the mysterious rock faces of Easter Islands and the ancient ruins of Native American cities!

Quote:
There are further clues from the word “Cibola” itself. The word Cibola, actually did not originate from the language of the Native Americans, but from the root word civ-pola, meaning “golden city” from the language spoken by the Dravidians of India, in Asia. Among the many names of the legendary MU was “Golden Cities”.

On 1993, a man with concrete business discovered in Laguna de Bay, Philippines a 9th C.E. ancient copper sheet document known as the Laguna Copperplate Inscription whose carved texts revealed the ancient language used by pre-colonial Filipinos, which was a mixture of Old Malay, Old Tagalog, Sanskrit and Kavi, the Old Javanese language that branched out from the Dravidian Language of India, from where the word “Cibola” originated from.

it seems disagreeable that Palau was Ladrones Islands because the description written by Pigafetta appropriately described the Mariana islands, with 2 small islets and a large one. Referring to Marianas islands as Isla de Ladrones may also help justify the possibility that "Zamal" island may be in Samal, Davao as the swiftness of Magellan's galleon fleet may justify the speed of their travel perhaps from Samal, Davao sailing towards Masao, Butuan.

I have seen a boulder with human figure facing Mt. Apo's caldera too during my trek years ago, but I somehow dismissed it as coincidental natural formation....until you opened this up.

I showed the picture to a veteran trekker and told him where I saw it but he had not even noticed it there. I think I still have the hard copy on my album, will try to take a digital shot kapag may time.

but here's another very intriguing information I heard the other night, and from an American at that, who said he had also heard about Samal (we were discussing about my theory that it was the island that Magellan first saw). He said that the Spanish expedition (Loaisa?) sought advice rom the King of Maguindanao who referred them to Samal. I was wondering if you have idea about this.

Just as the islanders previously showed hospitality to Magellan, they also offered food to the Spaniards, but this time with bolo hidden in which many of the crew were massacred or enslaved as they were treated with animosity (perhaps the news had spread about Magellan's slave being refused freedom after he died who confided it to Rajah Humabon of Cebu who then attacked Magellan's crew after his defeat, or perhaps due to atrocities committed by other rival Portuguese fleet in which the Spaniards were mistaken for).

something seems being twisted and manipulated about the real occurrence in our history if these was indeed the case, seems intriguing that the colonizers were attempting to hide two crushing defeat by the locals.

And if such were indeed the case as mentioned by the American guy, then it's getting more probable that Samal was indeed the land whom Magellan's fleet first sighted in the country

1. Two kingdoms should not be in the same place. Mazzana and Butuan were two separate kingdoms as mentioned by Pigafetta. Since Butuan is in the north. Therefore, Mazzana should be south.

2. They spent seven days in Mazzana. It seems Mazzana was a gold town. Gold nuggets and accessories were everywhere. THe abundance of gold in Masara, Comval could be our lead. The rich culture in Diwata KIngdom (AD 920), hence Mt Diwata in Comval.

3. Sangir was divided into two parts. north is Saranggani in PHilippines, south is Sanghire in Indonesia. BUt they were supposed to be one. The natives of Balut Island, minus the central phils invaders, are of Indonesian ancestry.

4. Sultanate of Maguindanao, on the other hand, was established at the close of the 15th century or the early part of the 16th century. A few years after the fall of Malacca in 1511, Maguindanao was on its way to becoming a full-fledged Sultanate. It is, however, surmised that as early as the 14th century, Maguindanao was already a port of call by the Chinese.

The Maguindanao tarsila points to a certain Sharif Ali Zainal Abidin and Putri Jusul Asikin as the parents of Kabungsuan. It further states that Sharif Zainal Abidin came from Hadhramawt and a descendant of Muhammad, God’s Final Messenger; while Putri Jusul Asikin was a daughter of the Sultan of Johor. Majul, however, contends that Kabungsuan’s mother is of Malaccan origin. This may have been premised on the fact that the royal family of modern Johor is of Malaccan origin.

This may have been premised on the fact that the royal family of modern Johor is of Malaccan origin.
it's good that we are discussing things independent of what mainstream beliefs try to forcibly spoonfeed on most people and it showed you cannot be someone easily manipulated or just unwittingly gobble some inputs hook, line and sinker just because it's a popular one, curious tuloy ako sino binoto mo last 2010 election

but it's good in the course of our discussion we try seek basis to the topics, and perhaps it's inevitable there might be differences with our views.

on my part I cannot agree that the "island" of Mazzaua was not a separate kingdom. In Pigafetta's diary the Rajah's of Butuan and Caraga often meet in the island for hunting games without mentioning of seeking the presence of a Mazzaua Rajah, and the crew of Magellan's fleet hike towards the Rajah's place as conveniently as if visiting some nearby neighborhood, and as conveniently both Rajah's attend the mass without even mentioning grand fleets accompanying their entourage in an otherwise landmark occasion, these scenarios cannot be feasible if we follow their mainstream belief that the country's first mass was held in Limasawa hundreds of kms. from the Kingdoms of Butuan and Caraga, unless there already existed regular schedule of fastcraft ferries from Limasawa and both Kingdoms since 1521

However I agree with you that the real intention of the Spaniards was not spices as mainstream belief spoonfeeds, but it was about the renowned abundance of gold such that it was well known all over the ancient world at that time. Our archipelago was world renowned in the ancient days as "Isle of Gold," something that manipulated mainstream beliefs didn't even mention, except to condition our sense of history to (Neo-)Colonial agenda (Oligarchic?) This will coincide how famous the lands were that if my American friend's personal research was right, the Datu of Maguindanao knew it so well as to point to Zamal i.e. Samal (by comparison Mindanao would be more renowned in profuse abundance of gold mines than in Visayas i.e. Samar) that mainstream beliefs condition that it's supposed to be in Sangir, Indonesia whan that place was not renowed for gold unlike in our archipelago "Isle of Gold."

there seems to be something intentionally misleading with what mainstream history fed on the rest. I'm beginning to notice what other statements had mentioned that various translations to Pigafetta's diary had been marred by inaccuracies. Something seems fishy, I believe we both will agree that the mainstream conditioning rgarding our otherwise profound ancient, pre-colonial history had been deliberately manipulated to fit the needs of whatever agenda was behind it (Neo-Colonial agenda?) , even to the point at misleading a people relegated to mediocrity susceptible to manipulation. One thing's sure we both don't just compromise our principles in seeking for the Truth behind it against misleading historical figures, and we both agree that this issue should be continually scrutinized and discussed to rediscover what had really occurred, even to the point of our history to be finally rewritten not for the side of some ulterior Neo-Colonial agenda against our country they had bounded with misleading history for centuries, but for ours and the nation's True Freedom and promising Future.

We are, independent in thinking as we are, literally making History here. You should also call yourself Maharlikan

When you say Caraga, what do you mean? the Caraga Region? or the old Caraga, the oldest town in Davao?
