it indeed is. Considering a lit of the projects close have been slowing as well, I would expect this one to start for another while. If most currently U/C projects are done, this should start.

Many projects in the area are facing some problems AGAIN. So I wouldn't expect any news on this project until the situation cleared up again and until many of the projects finish up.

What do you mean again. Sino-steel restarted and most projects that started finished, just there are few new projects launched

This one had an overseas developer, didn't it? Most projects with American or European developers fail to materialise for some reason. They only want some headlines I guess.

the first design... wow. thats what i call making a powerful statement. hope they still go with that. would be something different to all the "stick in the ground"-designs from the last years

reminds me of this church in reykjavik

the SSP map looks pretty yellow currently. While Sino Steel came back, R&F went halt again I'm sure these towers will finish eventually, but the construction of the whole CBD just drags on and on.

Most developments in China are successful. Just it usually takes a bit longer than the official predictions. In a country as big and booming as China it only takes a few years for seemingly-absurd skyscraper "ghost towns" to come alive.

Yeah I read about the infamous Ordos "ghost town" filling up a few weeks ago, too.

Yeah, I have yet to actually see these "ghost cities" I keep hearing about.
I think that maybe it's because to Westerners, the idea of building 50 skyscrapers at the same time just seems like overkill. Of course none of it's full the minute construction finishes but eventually it will all fill up. It's China...there's no shortage of people who want to buy. It's just that not everybody has the money ready the minute things are good to go.
