This is a new CBD near Tanggu. This will be built completely from the ground up and is separate from the existing CBD in Tianjin city (they're also developing a new CBD in Hongqiao district).

Remarkable planning, my jaw just dropped in amazement when I saw the city's new CBD area. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind the Chinese do almost everything in a big way. I wonder where they get all the money from. Anyway, It'll be no mean achievement if the Chinese authorities can really put the plan into action. Can't wait to see it finished.

You have to see the scale of projects in a per-capita relation. One reason they can build big, is because they're many, many people!

Distribution of wealth is another factor.
