They didn't provide sources for the images, so they may be fake.

According to renders it should be located in the middle bottom part of the phase two.

so this is the 700m speculated building now? quite sad i was hoping for china's tallest, but then again 588m is still pretty epic and 3 500m+ buildings in one city is already unbelievable.

just think about it, the only buildings over 500m right now are burj khalifa the abraj tower and taipei 101. yes thats 3 and the same amount we may have in single cities in just a matter of years! considering all the projects become reality.

Well, I'm trying to determine that If the location of the plot where ground breaking ceremony took place is the same where the 700m tower supposed to go I guess this is the same project (And we can delete this thread). And if it is in complete different location then who knows? Either they could have changed the location of the landmark tower or its completely different project (then this thread stays).

Anyways on the old concept renders the 700m landmark tower has been always shown as a tower with extremely long spire, and new renders shows the tower has no spire. So without it starting originally from 700m the current height seems to be correct for the landmark tower.

it is quite sad that tianjin has 3 nearly 600m tall towers, all with a flat roof and therefor doesnt make it into the megatall section

ps: yay for 2000 posts

Funny you'd think the Rockefeller's would try to building something in NYC. It's been a long time since their name has been tied to anything.

You mean that there are people who actually build fake models?

I guess you have to do everything by yourself...

So I did some research and it seems that it really is the landmark tower of the Yujiapu district. Here's why:

First we know for sure that the picture Barbaric posted shows the location of the tower.

On the picture below there is visible site from the picture above (marked in red). The steel structure on the right is the communication hub.

Now on the render below there is shown communication hub (the oval dome thing) in relation to the landmark tower (visible on the left to the hub).

So the site of the landmark tower is the same as the one of Rose. As the final confirmation you can also take the fact that there was rumors posted by Z0rg in the landmark tower thread about it being developed by Rockefeller Group already in June so this seem to be also match.

So this thread is no needed because we already have one for this project.

I propose copy all content from this thread and paste it at the end of Yujiapu Financial Area Supertall thread, then change its name to "TIANJIN | Rose Rock International Finance Center | 588m | 1929ft | App", and then delete this thread.
