If you look closely at 1WTC, you'll see that they've already installed the facade panels, they're just missing the actual panes of glass. You have to be able to remove/replace the glass in case one gets shattered by the wind, or whatever. The frame is there, which is the part that has all of the bolted connections.

They were very wrong. There's 2 indented corners, both of which go all the way to the crown, and two squared off corners, one of which stops at the setback.

Call me a cynic, but I think the primary reason they have indented corners is so they can rent out more corner offices.

Maybe, but personally I think they did it so it wouldn't look too boxy and boring. I mean, it's a pretty minimalist design as it is, so they probably figured they had to do somethingto make it different.

I believe the notches were an aesthetic choice, given that 7WTC only has 4 corners. It's meant to reduce the bulk of this very large building. It a pleasant coincidence that it has more corner offices too.

STR, do you know why the indented corner offices are not lit up in this render?

Because the artist didn't want to be bothered with that little detail.

The artist didn't even add the memorial pavilion.. so don't trust renders too much

^Well, yeah. 3 & 4 World Financial Center were spaced specifically to minimize the obstruction of the views of the South Tower and WTC Hotel. 4 World Trade is directly to the east of the former buildings, so it inherits the sight lines.
