It just looks like a vent of some sort. There are some similar vents on WTC 7, but they face Washington Street and the Verizon Building, so most people don't even notice them.

They're hidden a little better on 7, too. Recessed into the building.

They may be temporary while construction takes place? Vents for dust etc

im guessing those vents are for mechanical floors, and thus are permanent. they arent that bad. actually, in my opinion they sort of add some nice architectural variation to this building.

Which side of the building has these vents? If it's the north side, then they won't be very noticeable once 3WTC is built.

Are you guys talking about the vertical lines going up the pieces of cladding? Or the two cylinder things sticking out? The vertical lines go with the building. The cylinders don't :p

they may make you vomit but are a crucial aspect for ventilation and HVAC operations in the building.

It sucks how everyone treats this thing as if it's not big/tall just because it's the shortest. If this thing manages to top out before 1WTC, it'll be the tallest in Lower Manhattan for a while

1 WTC is already taller than it's final height.

Yes, but if 4 tops out before 1, then it'll be "officially" the tallest in LM until 1 tops out.

A building doesn't dissapear just because it is not finished. 1WTC is already now 302 meters tall and so 4WTC will never be taller than 1WTC

Shut the hell up Kanto. I know that. But on wiki, and on all the other sites, 4WTC will be counted as "Tallest in Lower Manhattan" until the point in time 1WTC reaches it's full height. Jesus, you're annoying.
