Looks like they are currently constructing the setback. (KPI TV) That's a pretty big mechanical floor!

Great that the KPI TV cam still catches what's done at the top, especially now at the setback. Let's pray that it keeps working!

Silverstein Says Rents at 4 World Trade Center Will Start at $75 a Foot

By Katie Spencer and David M. Levitt

Annual rents for the remaining space at 4 World Trade Center will start at around $75 a square foot, Larry Silverstein, the building’s developer, said today at the Bloomberg Commercial Real Estate Summit in New York.

Silverstein, chief executive officer of Silverstein Properties Inc., is developing the 977-foot (298-meter) tower on the southeast corner of the World Trade Center site in lower Manhattan, along with two other buildings.

“The rent is going to be a function of the market and $75 per square foot is really where it’s at,” Silverstein said, adding that the concession package for tenants will be “conventional.”

Silverstein signed a 99-year, $3.2 billion lease on the World Trade Center complex six weeks before the Sept. 11 attacks. Development on the site had been stalled for years because of indecision on its design, infighting among stakeholders and a lack of financing and tenant interest after the financial meltdown.

You mean they are already constructing the first two setback floors?

Not yet, I think. They are currently constructing the last floors below the setback.

But it is visible on the KPI TV webcam, that only in the area which will go higher the columns protrude beyond the setback level..

Thanks for the info. I've already made a diagram about the first two setback floors when it was still unclear if the new steel is already for them or still for the mech floor so I'm ready for them, LOL

Well that's just wikipedia. The one thing 4's wikipedia page has that's correct is that the trapezoid floors start with #48, so clearly the tower is not currently 53 stories tall. As you can see in the floorplans I'm reposting the northern elevator bank ends and needs its mechanics in this floor. For this and other reasons the 47th floor will be bigger than a standard office floor but will only officially count as one floor.

High Rise Floor Plan: Floors 48 - 63 (34,000 RSF)

Low and Mid Rise Floor Plan: Floors 7 - 46 (44,000 RSF)
