Hm? April?
Well, Now we've got a height of 235 Metres, circa. Ok, it's groing very fast.
There's only one problem: If the winter will get hard, and I'm sure It'll, they can't hold this speed. So, I would say, without hard winter, your theory is absolutely correct

There are 16 floors left (15 office, 1 mech). Roughly 4 months if they average about a floor per week. If the new office floors start in December, then they could be topped out by the end of March, theoretically. But I'm sure we'll have some lost days during the winter, so April would appear to be as good a guess as any.

Since we're still at the mech floor I'd say the height is approximately 217 meters now

I hope they make some sort of private viewing area out of the set back area. A missed opportunity for a al fresco cafe/restaurant I say.

I 1000% agree with you, especially since 1WTC won't have a restaurant

It won't have one?
Not even at the observation deck?
Very strange. Our DC Tower in Vienna is more than 70 metres smaller, but it'll have two reataurants, and one big bar at the top...Hm..

I have already said that there is enough space to put 1,5 zoo or whatever.

It's especially strange considering the restaurant in the old North Tower was the highest grossing restaurant in the US

The safety netting on the north side of the building was raised today. Hopefully that signals a floor jump coming soon.

Highest grossing means it made the most money. That doesn't mean it made money at a profit though. They'd be losing money if they did the restaurant.

I had the same idea back in august when I first joined. I think they should return the world trade center restaurant to one of the towers. They got the oppratunity for one in 2wtc, 3wtc, 4wtc (hopefully), 5wtc, and a possible 6wtc.

But can a restaurant require that much money to operate that even the highest income won't sustain it?

6 WTC won't be built. An already existing low-rise building or the new Performing Arts Center will be named as 6 WTC.

(Off topic) But I always thought putting a restaurant on the uppermost floors of 2 WTC would be magnificent, imagine how the sunlight would shine down on the sloped, diamond roof. Would be incredible.
