Well obviously so, if the original Windows on the World did.

I don't remember where I read it. But it has been established before on this site that Windows on the World was indeed losing money.

If the rent for the floor space is also extraordinarily high, probably yes

The scenario wouldn't surprise me when you consider Tavern on the Green was the second-highest grossing right up until it closed this year.

hmm, the most likely thing they will do with the lower roof of 4WTC would be similar to the empire state building. Make an outdoor viewing area, sure its not THAT high. But it can get some profit somehow. Probably something shining down at the 9/11 memorial.

I don't believe there are or will be any plans for an observation deck at 4WTC.

Perhaps the roof will be used just as the highest roof, with fan drains and chimneys.

It's the perfect angle for observing progress. Every new steel beam or row of cladding can be seen from that vantage point. I hope the photographer will continue to take such pictures in the future

Times like now its easy to lose interest in construction because theres no visible progress, im just hanging in there hoping to see great progress by '12

At least its not on hold and we expect mech floors to take a while. With a little patience well see the next floors shoot up like they did before.

I will never understand why people freak out when there's a lull in construction activity. It's happened so many times in the past, and it will happen many many times in the future. The important thing to remember is that right now this tower is on schedule.
