let's hope the next steel is well on it's way by next week! I'll be in NYC the 16th and 17th before I fly to Seattle, so I'd like to see the trapezoidal floors on their way! But I'll be back from the 23rd-January 9th if all else fails.

They are much taller I believe.
Im not sure of exact measurements but its a different sort of floor I think. I remember from a diagram a while back on its thread.

I believe they're columns with fasteners already built in for two floors in the middle, making them three floors tall instead of one. I don't actually know why though.

These are already the taller floors so that would be arround 1.5 of a floor. That's weird, I thought the columns would remain the same height and the jumps would be by one (big) floor per jump. It's puzzling, LOL

No, the perimeter columns cover the height of an even floor or two (except for the splice). I'm not entirely sure, but I believe it's something like 30 feet on for the mechanical floors, and 13 feet for the office floors. But let's bring that back to the 1WTC thread.

There you can see how big the glass panels are, look at the tiny builders.

Are 2 and 3 WTC already above street level?
I know, that's off topic, but I'm interested about.

Tim is right, the core forms are already above street level. Once concrete is completely cured (usually it takes 1 month, depending on the compressive strength), then you'll see 3WTC above street level.
