Wait till the curtain wall team reaches the setback, it'll be pretty interesting to follow!

Looks like they're 15 floors away from that.

How does the safety netting on the west facade rise regarding the setback roof? Do they take the entire piece and put it flush against the new west wall like it was for the first portion of the tower?

The steel-framed netting is made by smaller modular sections, it'll be disassembled, re-configured and asembled again section by section, remaining sections will get removed and lowered by the tower cranes.

Each section is IIRC 5 feet wide and ~13 feet tall.

looks like they have the scaffolding up for the next two floors but the KPI webcam is now almost useless.

Someone really needs to go up 7 WTC and point the camera up a bit more.

I'm guessing the glass will reach the setback about the same time this tops out.

Looks like they already started the next two floors with some steel around the cranes.. (see on KPI TV cam).

But they stopped pouring concrete on the floors some weeks ago, the white scaffolding stuff that used to hang around on the floor where they were pouring has disappeared as well (see for example in this post http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?p=86558010 what I mean). Cladding now almost reached the last floor which is poured completely, we'll see if they have to wait with the cladding then until concrete restarts.

Does anybody know why they stopped pouring concrete, is it because of the colder temperatures?

Interesting, the white blanket that used to enclose the fireproofing work is gone, and as you pointed out, curtain wall is almost at the last fireproofed level (usually they maintain a distance of 10 floors), wondering if there's a problem with Patti & Sons...

I dunno but such problems might explain why the progress is so slow lately

Man, I really hope the fireproofing crew gets back to work soon. The glass had been progressing really fast, I would hate to see it stop. Also, on the KPI TV cam, it looks like they have started to disassemble the cocoon. I assume this is so they can fit it onto the trapezoidal floors?
