Still no second crane yet?

Man, this things was doing great until the accident. Now both WTC towers are going up in slow motion :-( I liked it when they were jumping ever other week.

They've filled in all of the missing rows of glass where the climbing crane was located.

Wow, the reflections are so stunning the tower practically disappears with the sky. I can only image how much more impressive these reflections will be when the construction is complete and people can view it from even more angles.

Great photos, thanks!

Awesome pics, Athinaios!

Decking of the current floor almost finished, I feared it would slow down more with only one crane working after the accident.

It would seem it has slowed them down. The article linked below says the accident has set them back by about 2 months. Expected to top out in Early July.

The article gives a bit of an update on the crane accident and says that DOB has instituted a rule that cranes such as the one in the accident (TG-1900) only operate at 75% capacity across the city.

Thought I should share this picture! When I was in NYC last week I went to the Barnes and Noble about 3 blocks from the WTC, and saw this construction worker reading a book haha. It was so out of place! Cool to see them on their breaks.

Let us all hope that he wasn't reading something like 'Building a Skyscraper for Dummies".

They did a big concrete pour today to repair damage done by the crane accident. If I'm not mistaken, they busted up concrete in the red box too, so they will have to pour there eventually. What is the blue stuff? It looks like foam to me. Is it used as insulation, or is it waterproofing (or both)?

The following is from February 20th, when they were removing the concrete and blue material. Seems there is little or no rebar (then and now).
