It looked fat months ago. Since the setback is U/C, it looks totally ok imo.

This is a part of a complex. It´ll look great once everything is built and done. See how great GSHQ looks now in the skyline, compared to some years ago. ;-)

Finally!!!

http://observer.com/2012/06/more-tha...1-world-trade/

"Last week, President Obama visited 1 World Trade Center for an update on the project’s progress. He gave a speech and signed the beam that would top the country’s maybe-tallest tower. It would still be some time until the beam was hoisted into place.

Meanwhile, on the other end of the site, 4 World Trade Center was quietly rising. Today, Silverstein Properties announced that the tower will have its topping out ceremony this Monday, the building reaches its final height of 974 feet."

I'll bet they're just completing the steel for 72M. There's another level of glass to complete the full parapet.

Yes, by topping out they mean installing the last of the structural steel. The parapet will be installed after all the mechanical equipment is in place and after all the cladding reaches 72M

From the ground it looks massive and very wide but from 1 WTC, it looks almost thin.

To me it doesn't look fat. I think it looks ok

As for topping out, the parapet will have steel columns holding it so I think that is when the topping out will occur. Besides, steel for the 72M floor is already up, so if the topping out ceremony is just about to occur, they must mean the parapet steel
