The glass seems to be at the same place it was before Sandy. The fireproofing blanket is back up on the higher floors though.

That's awesome! Glad to see work resuming so quickly after the storm.

^ Great Pictures! This is so close, I can't hardly wait to see it finished by the end of the year! How much interior work is completed? When can we expect to see tenants moving into this?

I think the whole ( outer ) structure is finished in Januari and the tenants can move in before the summer.

After seeing this building go up, I can honestly say I'm a fan of Mr. Maki's work. So elegant, and yet minimalist at the same time. In a way, he reminds me of Minoru Yamasaki's work.

I don't see a reason to not be a fan of his work.

I've been a fan of his work ever since I saw no.2, I just didn't know who he was

A construction worker may have broken his leg when he fell from a ladder at 4 World Trade Center on Tuesday November 13, 2012.

Is this already cladding on the podium on the right? Looks like it
Hope the construction worker gets well soon again btw

Could it be? Is that base glass on the far right?

Sad for the construction worker. But we should all be amazed that there have been no deaths so far on the construction of the 4 towers on the site itself.

Maybe one of the New Yorker's on this forum can take some closeups during the weekend.. but from the reflections, I'd definately say it is base cladding.

The northern external hoist is also coming down further, if it is gone completely, then they can also fill the gaps in the base where the external elevators went through..

I'll be in the neighborhood this weekend, looking at an apartment in the Greater Whitehall building on Saturday. I'll take tons of pics of the base; the best vantage point is from the elevated plaza at One Liberty Plaza.

The base is the new source of attention until cladding reaches the roof.

that picture is great, just shows the beauty of this tower

this tower is the shortest and more plain building of the 4 towers being built, but when iw as next to this badboy i was really impressed at it

I'm surprised it's on the roof. I would think the crane would jump itself back down to the setback and the derrick would be placed on the setback. Perhaps there isn't room on the setback, but the crane will still jump down to it and derrick will have to reach down from the roof?

Finally! Base glass! The orange netting and bare steel annoyed me so much. I hate it when buildings don't have their base cladding on.

This tower is so beautiful! Proves how effective minimalism is. I'm loving this building more and more as it gets cladded.
