I was in NYC yesterday, and was interested in seeing what was happening at the base. Tried to snap a couple photos that would share that.

I really appreciate this tower more and more each time I see it in person. The angles are so subtle, yet perfect. The way it relates to the rest of the site is really intriguing, and hard to appreciate until you are walking around it and noticing that it is not just a simple glass box. Also, hard to capture in photo that experience...

Mr. Demerjian: One of the exciting things we’re doing is creating an outdoor terrace on that setback for tenants to use as functional space, like Rock Center. That’s up on the 56th floor, which is taller than 7 WTC. Some of the challenge is the wind. How do you deal with that and create a windscreen? We’re talking about that, making sure it’s a usable, friendly space. There are some challenges with that and it’s great..."

Looks like they've started installing the bollards that will encircle the memorial.

A bit wavy, but that doesn't affect the quality of the cladding, which is very high.
I like this one more than 1WTC's cladding, but the 2WTC samples look more enticing
