If they wanna open it to the public in November, they should hurry taking down the external elevators. Or will they stay there for some more time, although the building is open?

I might be wrong, but I think they would be a major obstacle to the tenants if they would remain there. It would take additional investments to isolate the open part of the building that houses that elevator and I doubt anybody would be willing to pay that

On the harbour earthcam I noticed a new led beacon on top of 4wtc, I personally prefer the flash rate as opposed as 1wtc's.

We still have 2 months, its not going to be that lengthy of a process once they start removing the elevator.

That said I am still surprised it has not started already

On the northern side, it took them from around February 14th until to March 27th to fill the elevator gap with cladding.

Taking down the elevator should be done much faster. So they have some time left, but I expect them to begin soon

Completion is November 2013.

And by the way, the November will be a magical month for the complex. It could go north or south, because we'll know whether 1 WTC's spire will be counted on November 8th, we'll find out if 3 WTC's future tenants really want to make a deal with Silverstein, and we'll find out if 4 World Trade Center will be completed. I don't think the elevator's going to be a problem, as long as they put some signs in the building or something.

I would prefer they dismantle the elevator before opening, but you get what you get and you don't get upset. And who would get upset at this simple, wonderful tower with great cladding?

I hope they inaugurate it in some kind of special way, instead of just cutting a ribbon. Because cutting a ribbon, even for 4 WTC, would be disappointing.

Now we just need something to do in 2 WTC in November.
