I'd say top out will be in 2012. 4WTC is supposed to be finished before Freedom Tower is.

WTC 1 is the top priority...They have to finish before September 2011 ( for the 10th year of this tragedy )

They've already said it won't be finished by then. It will be open but it won't be finished until about a year after that.

It hasn't grown by any additional floors for awhile, but construction on this one is amongst the fastest around the globe. Once the core reached street level months back, they've been working on the surrounding vechicle security ramps and future retail levels.

Remember this has been u/c for less than a year, meanwhile 1WTC has been u/c for 3.5 years. A mobile crane should begin helping to install the first above ground floors at any moment.

that's not a really smart question. Sorry to offend you but the height divergence must say enough (WTC 4 is first) but I've read somewhere that WTC one will be the first but looking at the progress and the complexity of the two towers i bet on WTC 4.

i'm sorry my all knowing friend, but i know that too. that's actually the reason i was asking this particular question, cause WTC4 construction started much later then WTC1 construction (WTC isn't over street level yet). so i just wanted to know which one is going to be finished first. makes perfect sense to me.

Looks like they're feverously tying to get this tower above ground.

I don't think it at street level yet. I couldn't see it over anything else down there.

No it's at Street Level. You can't see much because that annoying fence blocking the view. You have to go to the 2nd Floor of Burger King on Liberty Street to see it. Soon it will rise above that fence hopefully in the coming months.

Excellent process! I can't help it wondering how did this tower rising with only one crane? There are some part of this tower is kinda out of crane reach. Why not they install a second crane to handle some part of this building that crane can't reach? I think a second crane should make it easier and able to rise little faster?

A second tower crane was anticipated arriving last August. But their are now rumors from the Wired NY forum that the contractor doing the concrete work has been told to stop at street level (money issues). Work will still continue on the basement levels though. It's also been reported steel is still scheduled to arrive sometime later this month for the lobby levels. So we'll just have to wait and see.

Supposedly the concrete workers may get shifted over to working on the PATH underpinning work(Greenwich street) section.

Or we could see work on the sub-levels for either 2 or 3WTC start, stumps or towers, the below grade stuff needs to built, if nothing else simply to support the WTC's outer slurry wall.

I don't think we'll get a final answer until once the arbitration process is finished.

I have a feeling that 4WTC might be top out, completed, and ready for tenants before 1WTC, i like the design, similar to that of 7WTC. I love how its sits right in front of One Liberty, and screws up there views.

Random question does the new 7WTC have more or less office space to that of World Trade Center 7?
