I think 4WTC is the best looking skyscraper in New York.

And not just because of the mirror thing. I think its balance of shape and form, and the exact level of minimalism, it's just perfect top to bottom.

Which is to say nothing of its relationship with the surrounding buildings - which is even better. It compliments 1WTC like a fine wine, and it nests within the lower Manhattan cluster so well it looks like it's been there for decades.

And it's only going to improve when 2WTC and - especially - 3WTC are finished.

I even like the logo in the lobby. And the slight blue of its facade.

Altogether, the whole WTC site is going to be a design classic in years to come. It was worth the wait and 4WTC will be the cool, edgy one of the lot. The one real enthusiasts rate highest, more than the showstopping 2WTC or the billboard 1WTC revival.

I think the whole WTC is an underrated masterpiece. I like the HY but as a complex, it doesn't come close to the WTC.
Think about it, we have a sensationally well designed chameleon-like minimalist building next to another extremely well designed industrial looking building, next to what will be the diamond of the downtown skyline and the complex reaches it's peak with 1WTC.
Then there's a bird-like structure along with 2 giant waterfalls right in downtown manhattan, which is quite a feat, and the museum, which I think is one of the most underrated designs in the complex, it just looks amazing.
Let's not forget Calatrava's Greek church rising across from the memorial and we're still waiting to see what Ghery does with the Performing arts center.
This whole complex is just unlike anything else in the world. The only minus in my opinion is 1WTC, it's my least favorite of the towers, nice tower but it doesn't warrants to be the most important tower in the downtown skyline...especially when the lead up is 4WTC, 3WTC and 2WTC.

The cladding looks surreal in some pictures! It changes a building with mediocre shape (IMO) into a beautiful skyscraper.

Any ideas on when we should see the permanent office lights installed?

If you guys haven't checked out the interactive panorama from the top of 1WTC, you really should: http://time.com/world-trade-center/

4WTC looks outrageous, like it's cloaked.
