The lift on Liberty St is still there... must not be done fitting out the PA floors yet?

The hoist will remain until at least 12/14. There are negotiations to keep it until 2/15...

Well, they could at least fill in the right side where the other hoist used to be. At least narrow the zipper somewhat

Yup. MorningStar is taking a 30,000 sq ft portion of the 48th floor. This and Tower 1 are on somewhat of a roll lately, which is very good news for the resumed Tower 3 and even Tower 2. People are realizing it's OKAY to come back to the World Trade Center, the site is alive again.

The migration downtown is in full swing.

World Trade Center Lures New Tenant

http://blogs.wsj.com/metropolis/2014...WSJ_NY_NY_Blog
Quote:
The private tenants at the World Trade Center are starting to trickle in.

Developer Larry Silverstein announced Thursday that financial research firm Morningstar Inc. has signed a lease for 30,000 square feet at 4 World Trade Center, the austere, glassy 2.3 million square foot office tower on the southeast corner of the site.

The deal is the second private tenant for Mr. Silverstein at the tower, who signed advertising firm MediaMath in May for 106,000 square feet. The total building is now roughly 55% leased, including leases with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and New York City for about half the building.

Chicago-based Morningstar is planning to move its New York office from Midtown to the tower, with a lease on the 48th floor of the building. In a written statement, the company said more growth is planned.

“We conducted an extensive search, and we love the building’s design. Moving Downtown allows us to double our capacity for staff in New York,” said Morningstar chief executive Joe Mansueto.
