The outline is jagged. The elevators on Church St side are inside the lobby afterall. We'll see steel jut out on the north and east sides. Definetly looks far less complicated than 1WTC. If Silverstein gets the money for the rest of the construction this has a chance to catch up to 1WTC.

the construction really gives you an idea of how big this tower is. while this is the tallest tower on the site, it is still nearly 100 floors tall. imo, the site should have been developed as lower towers to fit back in with the historic buildings of the neighborhood, and one supertall tower 2000 feet tall. these towers are all just so massive.

Nice shot! People are now dumbfounded over these giant pieces of steel rising on the corner of the WTC site. "I thought the Freedom Tower was over there..."

I like how they have the Twin Towers on the street signs.

I'm sure it was a thrill. But if you had been spotted by an overzealous cop, meh_cd's right, you probably would've been arrested (and halted construction for many hours). You were very lucky.

Oh isn't that nice try that at 1wtc your sure to go to jail. And construction would have been held up for more the a few hours. WTC is the whole reason why we have a terror alert. Look what happened in Jersey at the airport. We don't need anymore delays

and you probably couldn't resist the thrill of being in a back of a cop car?
Don't take this and other comments wrong day, just save yourself an aggravation and maybe trip to jail.

"Construction on the World Trade Center development was halted for two whole days over fears that an Asian man with a camera might be an Al Qaeda terrorist or spy."

Yeah, I want to see that headline.

The structure is looking good, they still have to extend it in the front I believe.

Here are some ground pics from NYguy, Jan. 8th
