Great pic. Good progress with 4WTC and the demo of the Deutsche Bank tower.

Does anyone know when this tower will take off? That is, when will start going up by one floor per week like WTC1?

I'd say that this one will probably stop about here for maybe a month. The core is far behind, I think it will have to catch up now. A good moment for a pause, now that the base is nearing completition. But when the office floors start, it will probably go at a pace of one floor by week, yes.

By GreenwichBoy, WNY, 10-30-10. Looks like all the steel for the podium is complete.

It's about 145 feet high. It's built up to the 6th floor. The next floors are the office levels.

I'm hoping we'll see the cranes jump sometime soon.

does this building use a concrete core like 1WTC, or is it entirely steel?

The core will be concrete all the way to the roof (as is also the case with WTC7, and for the planned WTC2 and WTC3). Also, four of the perimeter columns on each side of the building (that's 16 total) will be encased in concrete all the way to the roof.

Thanks for clarifying, the pics were rather confusing since i could see no visible concrete. Also, that many columns completely encased in concrete? They're really trying to bombproof these buildings, aren't they?
