lol thanks, i meant the 6th floor (6-9 confusion). the base certainly took a lot of time, so the construction pace should be 1 floor / week very soon (at least that's what i hope).

I really don't like the way the wall angles in at the top of this, it would be better if it were just a plain box. The design seems very arbitrary to me, if you'll excuse my rant. WTC 1,2 and 3 are just in a different league.

I agree with you in that the WTC site needs a simple box at least to balance out the various angles of the other buildings. I suggest they replace wtc5 with an exact looking replica.

Well if you look at the whole wtc site as a whole 7 world trade center is the most like a box...a diagonal box

From wtc.com, 11-8-10. By Joe Woolhead.

The big red baseplates for the cranes have moved to the "roof". The rest of the cranes should jump any day now.

i went through the thread and did not find any answers.

i am sorry if this has been asked.

Its so close yet so far....

the roof height is about 935ft. as you can see, the total height including the parapet (about 40ft) is 975ft. so, it's not that bad this tower won't be a supertall.

The cranes jumped today. On the rbz cam it looks like steel for the office floors are going up as well. Hopefully we'll get some pics soon.

Because 99% of people really don't care... (except the ones on skyscraper forums)

"wow this is big" - if it is 297m or 303m is the same for most of the population...

Building it. They are forming the outline of the core. The foundation should be done soon. After that we should see the concrete form works of the B4 level walls.

By GreenwichBoy, WNY, 11-11-10. It looks like that's 2.5 floors worth of steel. 7th, 8th, and start of the 9th.
