The Earthcam has shifted a little to the left, giving us a better view of tower 4:

My guess..Third tower crane will be lifting steel armature for concrete..Blue netting should be done soon and tower should rise with 1 floor per week..Just like 1WTC with his 3 cranes..

The corners have no support columns. Out of curiousity, are there any other (almost) 300m tall towers with this design?

^The only WTC building with corner columns will be 1WTC. 7 Doesn't have them, 2 won't, 3 won't. What's unique about 4 is that all the other buildings have exterior columns spaced 30 feet apart, while 4WTC will only have 8 pairs of columns on any floor, leaving huge 80 foot spans of nothing but glass.

Typical 4WTC floor.

A request from someone at SSP comparing the shortest of the new WTC buildings to the tallest building in Canada. FCP d/led from 3D warehouse, made by some dude calling himself wyliepoon.

My favorite angle of 4 World Trade Center. The proportions just seem right.

I didn't know that, but it is perfect for a good view from inside.

^Apparently Tower 4 is going to sway quite a bit in the wind, more than most buildings its size. They have to build it into the facade, allowing the exceptionally small 1.75" frame joints to flex as wide as 3". This building will be almost invisible, but will have taken a lot of work to make it so.

I thought about the sway too, it would be great to have some trussing stabilize it, and that is exactly what is being done!

Any idea on whether it will continue all the way to the top? Im looking at the diagonal beams between the main office floor columns.

No tusses. The only reason why they're used in the base is because some of the columns shift position as they move from the podium to the tower.

Diagonal beams can clearly be seen between the exterior columns of the office floors, at least the ones that have already been built.

Those aren't office floors, they're mechanical floors and essentially the transition point from base to tower.
