Seems so! Source:

http://www.lowermanhattan.info/const...et__77170.aspx

*The following information was last updated on January 12, 2011.

* Deconstruction of the building is now on floors 1 and moving downward.
* Tower crane removal takes place January 17-26, 2011.
* The projected end date for deconstruction is late February 2011.

Also time for the tower crane to come down

Is anyone know when they will start to put in the cladding ?
How many floors must be completed before starting ?

It's been reported they won't start the cladding till well into next year, after it tops out. That seems very strange. But that's what Silverstein has said.

The Wall Street Journal
$1.3B World Trade Center Bonds 'Temporarily Shelved' -Source

A $1.3 billion tax-exempt bond deal to help finance one of the World Trade Center towers has been "temporarily shelved" due to volatile conditions in the municipal bond market, a person familiar with the matter said Friday.

The offering--which will help finance 4 World Trade Center, a 1.8 million-square-foot tower already under construction in Lower Manhattan--is expected to sell sometime during the next three months, the person said. Until now, the deal had been on a "day-to-day" schedule.

This is the second time choppy conditions in the muni bond market have led to a delay in the World Trade Center bond sale. Muni bonds have been under pressure from mutual fund selling and a continued stream of negative headlines about the financial woes of state and local governments.

New York Liberty Development Corp. originally planned to issue the bonds in early December, on behalf of the developer, Silverstein Properties.

Representatives from both Liberty Development Corp. and Silverstein Properties couldn't be reached for immediate comment.

Several market participants expect deal volume to be lighter the next few weeks as other offerings from issuers may get pulled amid the volatility.

Muni prices fell Friday for the ninth straight day, amid widespread selling by money-market mutual funds. Yields, which move inversely to price, rose, making it more expensive to borrow.

Also Friday, Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond President Jeffrey Lacker told reporters after a speech that he sees "broader distress" resulting from municipal market problems. The market, where states and local governments have suffered from economic and budgetary problems, has come under pressure from widely reported negative headlines, including noted bank analyst Meredith Whitney on television forecasting widespread defaults.

Silverstein has said so many different things. He said last summer that the glass would be up to the 20th floor by 9/11/11. I just have a wait and see attitude.

nice, 4WTC has grown since my last visit here. it's rising quite slowly, but at least there's still progress.

Just a few questions

1. When is 4WTC planned to top out? I would assume the middle of next year right?

And 2. Why does it seem to me that 4WTC is more "important" then 2 and 3? Like a few months ago when 2 and 3 were considered to be stumps while 4 would be constructed as normal?

Is it because of the fact the Port Authority is putting its new headquarters there or what?

It should top out early next year. 4WTC is not anymore important than the other towers. But the City of NY and PA have agreed to pre-lease 2/3 of the tower's office space. So financing this one is possible. Not so for the other two towers.

Silverstein actually wanted to construct 2WTC first but was rebuffed by Gov. Pataki who wanted the priority to go to 1WTC.

this building is looking awesome after jumping a couple floors. You can tell it will be a bulky tower for sure. Maybe even a bit hulky!

I think you've got to check out Macy's in Herald Square and then Bloomingdales at E. 59th.
