From January, but I don't recall seeing these before.

Exclusive inside 4 world trade center lobby

"Silverstein Properties and its architects on 150 Greenwich Street, as the Fumihiko Maki-designed tower is also known, recently took a trip to Italy to inspect the marble and stone that will be installed in the building's lobby."

Maki & Associates

Stone panels were set up in Carrara, Italy, where the pieces of the lobby will be cut and prepared. The lobby will consist of black Swedish granite and white thassos marble from Greece for the walls, and Oiros stone (a composite of black, white and gray granites) from Italy will make up the floors.

The design and construction team inspect different pieces of the black granite.

The stone panels are actually far thinner than they appear, only a few centimeters thick. Unlike the huge marble blocks of the past, which were self-supporting, these panels will be affixed to modern concrete walls and are purely aesthetic.

Will there be a re configuration when the tower reaches the part were it gets slimmer? Also what will go in the 4/5 story part? Car parking? retail?

I think I like 4WTC's glass over 1WTC's. Perhaps it's just the sun's location at the time of the shot, but I like the darker color.

With the glass coming up along with the combination of the green trees you get a scope of what the whole site will look like when completed in half a decades time.

The glass is starting to look half full not half empty here.

Is this glass the same as tower one or is it (as it appears) more reflecting?

The glass on each wtc tower is different but only slightly. And this does look to be more reflective the 1wtc's glass
