Why is the cladding on 4WTC going up so strangely? I mean, on the middle of one side, we have 5 rows up. Then there's 3 rows on another. And unless I'm mistaken, they haven't even started one of the sides? What gives?

I know somebody might have asked this earlier, but I don't wanna go through 88 pages. Are there any tenants for 4 WTC known as of this day?

Odd question but I recently visited NYC and can I ask why there are blast warning signals and signs all over? Was this for when they were preparing the site for reconstruction?

I'm sure somebody on here said that this tower does not have any tenants as yet however is been built entirely out if insurance funds. I think there's a retail part of this tower too.

Well, that doesn't sound good for the future of towers 2 and 3. If Larry wants, he will modify this building, so UBS can go in here, instead of into 3WTC. I don't really know much about tenant harvesting, but to me it doesn't look as if the new WTC would, so far, be successfully harvesting tenants. Iirc so far it's only Conde Nast for 1WTC and UBS seriously thinking about going into 3WTC.

I wonder, how was it with the old WTC? Did they do better or worse than the new one?

I can't answer that question but remember we are still recovering from a world recession so the old WTC was probably easier to fill.

600,000 square feet is leased to the Port Authority. The City of NY has a lease for 581,000 sq ft.

The original WTC was initially leased up with predominantly government tenants. It took until the 1980's before more private sector tenants moved in.

The new 7WTC opened up in mid 2006 with 0 tenants. 5 years later it is 90% leased with some of the highest rents in in the city.

1WTC has a 1,000,000 sq ft lease with Conde Nast, 190k to a Chinese firm, and the potential of another ~1 million in government leases (no deadline is set on those leases, as the hope is they won't be needed).

I was just at the site today. I have to say, the cladding looks nice.

Still nothing on the east side. However, they do have the brackets where the cladding goes up on at least one floor of the east side. So I predict we will have our first row of cladding up on the east side within two weeks.

Thanks Dino.

It was great to be at the site yesterday and see how it is flying. The new vertical steel and netting were all up so they are on schedule.

On the floors above the glass you can see the small brackets that they attach the cladding to. They should be putting a lot up for the next few weeks and it should finally be going all the way around the building.

Loved the nice reflections in the glass which you can see in these pictures.
