I dunno but why didn't they cover the steel beams with something waterproof before the storm?

Why should they? The steel beams are rusty anyway.

Does such a layer of rust protect the undamaged material below it?

The thin layer of rust on the massive steel parts is like a puddle compared to a lake. It couldn't spread deep enough to make a measurable amount of weakening to the component.

Beginning a new model. I have very little time to work on it, this is the western portion of the stump as it will be constructed if the building goes on hold.

Very nice render! What program are you using? I tried making a model of the whole site in sketchup, but I have had no time to work on it lately

No one knows because no one knows when the order to continue will come and that depends on whether Larry manages to get a 400 000 square feet tenant.

We should get every member on here to donate $5 to a fund to where SSC can purchase that 400,000 square feet and have an office in 3WTD xD

Just checked the stats, SSC has over 650 000 forumers. Some of them are inactive and some of them are spambots. It would take more than 15 dollars per member but it should be doable

I'd be surprised if SSC's active forumer count was over 100,000.

SketchUp, I made all of what you see in that render in a combined time of a few hours. I'll simply scale the widths and depth of the components as more photographs of the work site become available.

Well, they could have sprayed a waterproof layer on it, but if it's not necessary then the fail is on my part

Nice. When completed, it will look massive from this angle.
