Yep, this building is not topped out, no reason to celebrate either. (at least not yet)

Looking forward to this tower going up. Will be another tower added to the Manhattan skyline.

Look on the bright side, we will have another tower to look forward to going up after 1WTC is complete. Will be a good sight to see this and 1 and 4WTC going up.

With the situation we're in now i'll say one is better than two. Hopefully a tenant leases space soon.

Looks they are installing heating tubes in the top slab

It does not look like anybody signing a lease is imminent or else they would not go to the effort of embedding heating tubes in the top slab. The crane has been parked for a week so I assume it will be coming down at the first of Feb.

This buidling deserves more attention here. I hope that they'll decide to continue the construction soon.

Pouring takes place on the uppermost floor in the western part..

Does anybody know why they stopped spreading the metal decking in the eastern part? The remaining tower crane hasn't moved in the last three weeks or so..

Here's a screencap of the new "roof" slab.

I don't think that crane is going to be there much longer, doesn't seem like there's anything for it to lift anymore.

Well by New York standards, building anything at all these days is an achievement. A stub is better than a hole in the ground.

NYC is actually building way faster than Dubai these days.

And that will likely be the norm going forward.

To me they look the same. They are all simple glass boxes. This can be considered good or bad depending on personal preference.

WTC is struggling, but the apartments in NY go pretty good. (One57, 432 Park and many others)

Apartments seem to be the fire weed of the economy. They seem to sprout up first after a fire [recession], and are followed by the rest of the vegetation. The apartments signal a populous willing to start spending again and that gives us a sneak peak at the larger economy. We still have to wait, but Larry won't give up until all his towers are built, and his son will take the responsibility if need be.
