Something similar has been posted here. No news since then, I guess?

I saw that WPP is also looking at other buildings, so perhaps it and White & Case are far from done deals. I'd rather see W&C anchor 1 Vanderbilt and WPP anchor the Girasole.

Theres a highly visible gap between 1 and 4 wtc that needs to be filled. Having this anchored over girasole and vanderbilt would be preferable.

I think that that gap looks fine.

A gap at the WTC site is more like a scar, given what happened here 12 years ago. I'd also like to see that filled up first.

I lived and worked across the street from the WTC on 11 Sep 01, and notwithstanding that, I think that physically, the gap looks fine.

I don't think the Girasole, although a nice tower, can match 3WTC which I hope rises first.

Maybe but unfortunately tenants don't look at the design but which tower is cheaper and has a better location.

Why are we worried about the gap, anyway? Its days are numbered.

Of course my post was from a design and architecture perspective alone. I'm sure any potential tenant will be more interested in location and cost. The twist in the girasole is nice, but Rogers is a high quality architect and 3WTC just has a more classy design.

Also, the gap is awful since we know the missing potential of the site. If we had not seen the 4 towers standing proudly together in so many exceedingly stunning renderings, I think more people would be satisfied with the current two towers.

Mostly just interior work at this point... here's to hoping they secure an anchor tenant.

The gap will be filled, but I still think that this looks great, as is.

Also, a power firm like W&C is one Of the few firms that can afford a 500,000 sf+ lease in 1 Vanderbilt. Therefore, I'd like to see them anchor it.

"The gap" won't be closed until 2 wtc is built anyway. Enjoy the view of 1 WTC from the Brooklyn Bridge while you can, sooner or later both will be built to full height.

What's going on at the NE corner? Will they be pouring concrete there? It looks like they placed some blue tarp all over the place. Or maybe it was to protect something from the snow? (I feel like that's a long shot)

They already poured concrete there a few days ago, now it's protected from the weather while curing
