They should cover the rebar at the core, because I'm noticing that it's corroding. They should cover it, like they did with 2WTC

As long as there is still hope that it can continue, why already covering it?

And they probably know best when/if they have to cover it to prevent corrosion

I'm quite sure it will be covered if constructions stops. No urgent need to do it now.

I'll have to agree with wtcforever LAF2, I was monitoring the camera yesterday and they were already place by evening.

At first it made no sense to me why they would so hastily begin cladding on the premature stump that is 3WTC. Then it made more sense when I considered the aesthetics of the entire complex. What I figure is that they are cladding the building because it will be a very long time before construction progresses and they need some way to make it look nice for the overall complex. This is just my own assertion.

They are cladding the floors that were built because they are going to be used. There will be retail in the first 3 floors and the mech floors will be supporting the below-ground areas as well.

possible release to continue fabrication coming 7/1...that translates into a february restart of erection.

also hear that the TG tower cranes are being forced out of the city and will have to be replaced by favco's per DOB directive...

overall clusterf--- for the erection plan.

The fabrication release sounds promising. Should we have some kind of confirmation of that on the first?

Sucks about the cranes. Won't that be a significant expense to take them down, particularly if they're planning to erect them again shortly thereafter?

Thanks for the info. Did they really need the 230 tons capacity of the TG 2300? Because getting Favcos with the same capacity might not be an easy task.
