The X-bracing exterior made the Hancock Center an icon. Similar structures will always remind you of the Hancock. At first glance I had the same association, but a closer look reveals that they're just similar and don't have much in common except of that X and the roof height (344m vs. 350m). Btw it's funny that you say the height is the only difference, because in fact the height is almost the same

If anything it'd be more like the bank of china tower in HK, but even that is a totally different building.

JHC is a very unique building, i think we need to see more mixed use towers that have a slightly industrial/organic feel to them, all most like an arcology.

3 WTC is a nice tower, i like it, very modern and edgy.

WTC East-Side Development Plan Made Official

"Just north of “T4,” Tower 3 construction will continue initially to podium level, funded entirely by insurance proceeds. Full T3 completion would be financed with another $600 million in Port Authority, City of New York, and the State of New York subsidies -- but only if Silverstein is able to raise at least $300 million, secures additional Liberty Bonds, and sign leases with tenants. This strategy lets the private market drive the need for more commercial space at the WTC."

This is all about the "x"-es...You saw "x"-es here on the WTC 3 and that reminds you on JHC because it's famous building with "x"-es..That's all...
There's nothing similar on those two towers, except the height..

Let's not babble over the differences to divert some attentions to JHK in Chicago. My desire is for this building to come along with its own uniqueness, to be more inspiring artistically and refreshing to the mind of everybody.

This tower resembles to JH from Chicago like Freedom Tower resembles to Trump Chicago... All have windows, doors, walls...

If anything, it resembles a bit to Shenyang International Finance Center. (Actually this resembles to WTC3, since it's "younger")

They really just need to finish it, it'll look stupid if they are still building this when other towers are way finished.

The sun is shining. The air is warm. The trees are dancing in the breeze. Friends, it's a great day to launch a new World Trade Center tower. Fresh off the heated competition between developers to buy a stake in the artist formerly known as the Freedom Tower (See? People do want these things!), a bigwig at Silverstein Properties just said construction is kicking off today on Tower 3, the Richard Rogers-designed behemoth with bulging trading floors, bundles of retail space and slight TV tower facial features. Well, let's call it pre-pre-construction. The "mobilization stage" will put Tower 3 on the path to a December 2014 completion, one year after Larry Silverstein's Tower 4—to be occupied mostly by government agencies—and approximately 6,000 years (give or take) before Tower 2. Will T3 meet its new deadline? If not, it should still beat those 2020 predictions.
