1,170 feet. For future reference, just look at the thread title and it will say.

barring any major issues with this crane situation, I think we could see core work a couple months ahead of the restart of steel which was pegged for about February.

another month of mobilization ahead of that perhaps?

so Halloween/thanksgiving this year ish/

That's inaccurate. 3WTC will open in 2016.

I actually do think it will be completed in 2017 and opened around 2018. Think about it its 2013. They only have like 1/3 the podium. By the time official construction begins will be 2014. Im pretty sure they won't take 3 years to finish it. They'll probably need at least 4 years to finish it. Then open it the following year.

Actually the podium is a little over 1/2 done, if you include the core then it's 3/4 done.

Concrete framework systems build the core in a very short amount of time especially on Tower 3, which has a core that gets progressively smaller as it goes up.

If I remember correctly (someone please verify) isn't the steel already fabricated for this tower and was waiting in a warehouse? If so I do believe the structure will be done in 2016.

Yeah, I seem to recall that the steel is ready and sitting in a warehouse too.

contrary to what you might believe, it will probably only take two years to construct the main portion of the tower. A big chunk of construction time is the prep work and getting the tower above grade. All of that is already done for 3 WTC. Work will likely resume late this year.
2017 is a good guess for occupancy but i definitely think it will be complete in 2016.

Also other corrections, 4WTC is scheduled to be competed by year's end, the transportation hub is 2015, the performing arts center is 2017/2018 and yea 3WTC should be structurally complete by 2016

Structure will be done in 2016 but the interior fit out wont be done till 2017 thats why I said it will open in 2017.

4 WTC's tenants won't move in until early 2014.
Transport Hub is suppose to be completed on December 2015 but most likely some delays could cause it to open in 2016.

How could the Performance Arts Center open in 2017/2018? Its suppose to be build where the existing PATH and that can't be demolished until the Transport Hub is built. So lets assume that Transport Hub Opens in early 2016, so it will take a year to demolish the existing Path and place the foundation. So that takes us 2017, then give 2 years of construction and 1 year of interior fit out and fixing the surrounding area...which takes to 2020.

3 WTC will be structurally complete by end of 2016 but its interior fitout wont be done till 2017 and tenants cant move in till then.

Bingo! And plus consiering 1WTC how its already topped out. But its not done done. They need the final touches such as base glass, interior, crown, and spire. And they'll open 1WTC next year. So if they finish 3WTC in 2016, they will most likely open it the following year, 2017.

Vertical Gotham's article at the top of post 40 clearly says it will be completed in 2016 and GroupM will move inside in 2017.

I think Tower 3 will reach it's complete height by mid 2015 and will be open by the spring of 2016.
When you think about it, it's really not a long wait.
