Bored so I made a picture of what 3WTC might look like in a year and also 18 months.

indeed it obstructs views, but its also kind of a novelty feature.

i read somewhere once that the John Hancock tower in Chicago could ask more for their units than the market would indicate because of the cross bracing. it's not super common. people like having what others cannot.

Nice. A year from now I'll dig this up for further comparison.

Don't worry, I believe by the time 3WTC is done, 2WTC will be going up already.

That pic actually has me appreciating the new look over the old x bracing design. I am pumped for this building to rise.

I think it looks better now than it did with the X bracing design too

Now here's my 3WTC diagram with the future 3WTC and what it is now!

Wow, I just realized. Every part of my life is somehow connected to certain building going up that moment. Taipei 101 is symbol of my first interest in architecture, early stage of Burj Khalifa my high school, 1WTC first years of college. I wonder what will 3WTC bring.

Yeah, the Z-bracing seems to give more veritcal emphasis than the X-bracing.

No, I'm sorry but the x-bracing design was much more interesting. A nice juxtaposition to the glass boxes.

Hey, guys. I wanted to let everyone know that I'll be going by the site on Thursday, July 18 around noon and am going to get plenty of pictures. If anyone has any special requests as far as 3WTC goes, just let me know.

Surprisingly, I seem to be the only one who agrees with you. I too preferred the original, but the new one is satisfactory nevertheless.
