They can (and will) use the tower cranes for that as well.

trees are heavy, have to go far, and a mobile crane sets up quickly. i dont see the problem here

i do believe this LTM1350 was used to take down the west TG2300 on 3.

I was thinking the same. Last time i checked, trees are not simple small shrubbery.

Beside why would construction be restarting now? When it's supposed to restart next year. It is clear that it is for the trees also because of its location.

Final contract hasn't been signed yet

It will take at least a month+ to get a site back up and running

They need to remove all the coverings that got placed couple month ago.

Well they have to have big toys to play with, you wouldn't expect them to use something sensible like a big rubber tired forklift or a carry deck would you? It's a lot more fun reaching over everything to plant a tree instead of just driving up to it!

On the Earthcam it seems like the bay of elevator shafts in the centre of the core (behind the crane slightly) have had their covers taken off!

Don't know if anybody else noticed but they had put some glass in between the columns near the base from the post I posted yesterday. You just can't see it clearly because it is reflecting what is in front of it.

The wood you see is a roof box to cover the stairs and still allow access to the floor/roof. There is a July 2 picture of the occulus that shows the frame being built atop the stairs.
