My guess is they are repositioning the crane that has been busy lifting the cladding on the other side. Lots of attachment points have shown up in this area over the last few weeks.

Why would that be hard? They put the TG2300 is that exact spot in the first place, they can put another crane in here the same way this one got in. And as someone mentioned here before (I don't remember who, sorry), all TG1900/2300 have to leave the city, so they don't really have a choice.

They don't need that big of a pad for the LTM1220 (the one that was on the NW corner). Plus, if they were to put it here, it wouldn't be able to reach the north side since the TG2300 would be in its way (maybe not in its exact way, but way too close).

And that just came in:

And it looks a lot like that (pads for LTM1500):

Edit: There also is new steel arriving. Interesting.

It's fun trying to figure out what they are doing on this tower and the whole site in general.

I heard the same thing before too but wasn't sure where I heard it. I think it was discussed in this forums long time ago that TG2300 wasn't suppose to stay building this tower all the way to the top so no mater what this crane has to go. As far as replacement, i think it will come later this year when final contract is signed. Remember final contract hasn't been signed yet/

Yeah, they signed a term sheet.

And like Otie and others have said, it costs money to keep the current crane up and maintained. So I would guess they'll have another one up by years end in prep for construction next year.

Final contract hasn't been sign yet. Term sheet is more like verbal "thing". Just because term sheet was signed, it doesn't mean GroupM 100% commit to the lease. GroupM still can back out from deal without penalty if they want to.

Oh I know.

Just was putting it out there that they did indeed did sign a term sheet.

Funny, most people on Youtube seem to think construction is suppose to start immediately.
Boy are they in for a suprise.

No, current steel is still for the podium section that was agreed to be built. Haven't heard of any news about resuming the core shear walls or related above grade levels.
