I'll start counting that if we ever have a serious proposal. Right now, that plot is just a vision.

Get out. Please. It doesn't need to be tall to be worthy.

According to the New York Times Mr. Silverstein is expected to sign a second lease this week with MediaMath. according to the article the deal would raise the building’s occupancy to 22 percent, but lenders usually require that 40 percent or 50 percent of a building be leased before they provide funding. Things are falling into place.

The height is still solidly supertall, at 1171 ft AND once WTC2 rightfully completes the complex ( I too think WTC 5 while such a cool vision is pretty much JUST that until proven otherwise, and 7 is just offsite) the contrast of four distinct towers blending together to prove that downtown Manhattan is back and better than ever! With the new residential towers soaring nearby and the fill in of the Central Park area and the West Side Midtown especially most people will fall in love with the NEW NYC skyline.... the best of the old one and a new soaring set of addition for a new century!

Wtf? 357m is definitely tall enough. A higher roof than 1WTC for example would look stupid.

Bank of New York Mellon headquarters to Brookfield Place

BNY Mellon is just moving from one downtown location to another (One Wall Street to Brookfield Place). Net advantage for downtown is zero.

This is such an exciting time! The rise of this building has been long overdue.

1 Wall is probably gonna turn residential. Downtown will need newly built office space to replace what's converted.
