It's not just that, there's "messages" in it, but that's one of the biggest design elements of it. I posted an article about it a few pages ago.

Can someone please just make a thread for the WTC Logo instead of everybody junking up the 3WTC thread with replies that has little to do with 3WTC. Like somebody said a few pages back they are adding new rebar.

This kind of news is just enough to give us skyscraper fans a steel-superstructure erection of our own.

Look at it more closely. It's not hard to figure out.

In the time it takes America to work out a new logo, China and UAE have thrown up 3 more supertalls.

Why is all the work in the WTC site so crushingly slow ?

To bad those supertalls are in China and UAE.
Better to be a three floor walk up in NYC than a supertall in those countries....

Something not mentioned, but I just realized it: in all the excitement of 3WTC about to go vertical again, no one has noticed that once it does, it's gonna block about half the view of the memorial from the current vantage point. I wonder if there are any plans to move the Memorial Webcam, or will this just be it?

Interesting question, they should move the camera over to one of the WFC buildings.

When driving down Fifth ave between mid 50st and 34st Four WTC is dead center view wise.
With Three WTC being built it will now be center view going down Fifth ave.

The answer to this is very simple as it has already been discussed copious times. Bureaucrats. Too many bureaucrats have a say in the project which has forced it to move at a painfully slow momentum.

Workers are erecting a temporary covering over Cortlandt due to safety concerns of the crane at T3. The original plan was to close off Cortlandt entirely.

Good to see they'll keep Cortlandt open.
