Boom length is 197 feet, for those wondering.

IIRC, this particular model is the Potain MR418.

That's the maximum jib length for the MR418. Looks like they use the 131ft (40m) configuration.

Does that mean that the "black" crane will be dismantled and removed?

How many cranes will there be on the 3WTC construction site? Clearly, the "little red one" cannot do the job by its self... When are the other cranes scheduled to be installed?

The "black" crane already has been "dismantled" . They suppose to add another cab/boom to it so that will stay there.

There should be 3 or 4 tower cranes on this one.

Actually that a whole boom, not a part of it. When assembled, tower crane booms always put together at the bottom and then raised up as a whole.

There will be three tower cranes. One in the core, one where current black mast is a different another center of podium.

from what I understand they will be putting a Favco on the black tower in place of the TG that was there. I guess the towers for the 2 types are similar enough to do that.

We know the tower is going up but this settles it once and for all. The saga is finally over.

Silverstein Sells $1.6 Billion in Unrated Debt for 3 WTC

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-1...rld-trade.html
Quote:
Developer Larry Silverstein sold $1.6 billion of tax-exempt bonds to finance the construction of 3 World Trade Center, the largest-ever unrated deal in the municipal market.

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS), which managed today’s offer, sold about $1.1 billion of senior bonds maturing in 30 years to yield 5 percent, or about 1.9 percentage points above benchmark debt, data compiled by Bloomberg show.

About $280 million of junior bonds due in 2034 and 2040 drew yields of 5.15 percent and 5.38 percent, respectively. The sale also included $231 million of 30-year subordinate debt priced at 7.25 percent. Top-rated 30-year munis yielded 3.08 percent today, after setting a 21-month low of 2.78 percent on Oct. 16.

“They paid more yield than anything of its size in the market right now,” said Daniel Solender, head of munis at Jersey City, New Jersey-based Lord Abbett & Co.

The issue for the 69-floor tower was delayed for more than a year after the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, which owns the 16-acre World Trade Center site, balked at guaranteeing the debt while Silverstein waited for municipal borrowing costs to decline.

Bonds for 3 World Trade Center are backed by tenant leases and rents and secured by a mortgage. New York City and state will contribute $210 million and the Port Authority agreed to let Silverstein use $159 million of insurance proceeds from a $4.6 billion payout after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.

Now it's time to watch Verre, 3WTC and 30 Hudson Yards rise, now that 1+4WTC, 432 Park, and One57 are finishing up.

Not to mention a few more months of 30 Park and 56 Leonard, then 252 57th and 80 West, and then 15 HY, Steinway and Nordstrom. How are we supposed to keep track of it all??

Yea that's insane. People don't realize that as much fun we've had watching 1WTC, 432Park ect.... grow, most of the action will be taking place in the next 4-5 years. All the major projects we've been talking about in HY, midtown, downtown, Brooklyn and Queens ( Staten Island too with the New York Wheel) are just about to start rising.
The biggest transformation of NYC is yet to come

Eh, while The performing Arts Center and WTC 5 would be nice. They're like the cherry on top of the Sundae, it would be nice but I don't think that anyone will lose sleep over it.

Working somewhat late today. Unloading steel right now which will be the beams that go between the core cutouts.
