Ya, the: "HOLY CRAP! They have made progress!" phase won't happen until March because of the random northeast weather. So construction will be in fits and starts until the weather gets better.

Yep, if this storm comes together, expect no progress at all for a week, maybe two. Temperatures not expected to get significantly above freezing through at least Saturday.

EVENING.

* LOCATIONS...THE GREATER NEW YORK CITY METROPOLITAN AREA.

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WITH BLIZZARD
CONDITIONS LIKELY.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 1 TO 2 FEET...WITH LOCALLY
HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE
.

* WINDS...NORTH 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH.

* VISIBILITIES...ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE LOWER 20S.

Yes, they poured the east half of the core ALREADY just after jumping it only a few days ago. Other portion of core will be raised soon to 13th floor. So yes, they are well in the mechanical section now.

It looks far more incredible when you're standing on Church St. It is incredibly towering and very out of this world, indeed. At first I hated it. But after standing face to face to it, well, let's just say it blew me away.
