There's always been 5 trade/podium floors, not 6.

why have they erected the steel to the middle of the core on the otherside? but not this side

could this be a new position for a crane

I have to say it looks very much like the steel set up, where the last crane got dismantled

maybe they will be using the old crane after all

They won't be using the old crane that got removed. If that was the case, they wouldn't have got rid of the mast in the first place lol.

They will be using another Favco M760D here.

Do you know why they have erected the steel to the middle of the core on the otherside? you can see it in the reflection

That's a good question. I would suppose they are testing the Potain (red crane) to see if it can actually handle steel erection of the tower or not. As far as I know, they will not be using the Potain to erect steel. Only the two Favcos will.

Its not the middle of the south side. Its the south-west corner of the tower portion. It is where the Favco will be moved after it is done with the podium. The only way to erect the steel for the tower portion would be to have a dedicated crane for steel in the south-west and north-east corners. The red crane is dedicated for the concrete core work.
I do not think that the steel will start to be erected on the tower portion until they remove all the rebar, rebar bending tables and assorted scaffolding materials from the concrete floor. They will have to find an area to put this stuff first (maybe the roof of the podium after it is poured).

The current Favco will not be moving. It will be an external climber on the outside of the building.

Then how will they erect steel on the south side of the core? From the looks of it, neither 760 can reach there. As far as I can see, the only way to do it without bringing a third crane is to move the current 760 in the area mentioned by matspur (once it's done with the podium). But then it would also need the shorter deck configuration...

So is it safe to say that the podium is topped out even though the other side is not.

I have a feeling they will bring back the old crane that was dismantled from the near corner

if you look at the new steel its configuration is the same as to accommodate the old crane

The podium is not topped out.
It has 11 floors and steel is currently erected only up to 9th floor - if you look at the earthcam today you can see steel for the 10th floor laid on top of the 9th...
