This is a long stretch from the "topping out" definition.

that is a skewed definition. podium may have reached max height however
more traditionally its when the last beam (or its equivalent) is placed atop a structure during its erection.

So I'm reading here that they still are not sure what crane they are bringing in to use between the Wolf and Favco, and the other Favco has to be moved? So does anyone know when TOWER steel will actually start rising?

They have decided on the Favco and they just recently applied for permits to allow the shorter deck configuration needed.

The current Favco will also likely end up moving to the SW corner of tower as someone else earlier previously mentioned.

From today. While everyone was using their selfie-sticks for pics of 1WTC, I snapped this one. I can't overstate how much 3WTC's presence has grown just from the core and podium rising. I just watched for a few minutes as they lifted steel into place. Pretty neat to see.

Anyone has an overview/video of how that processes works inside a core?

This is not the info I am getting...

The Favco with the sorter deck will likely not be approved in time for this job as there are stringent analysis and testing requirements imposed by the Building Department.

So apparently a Wolff 700B will be used in the NE position, and a regular Favco 760 will be used in the SW position. The regular 760 can be used in the SW since there is a setback in the south part of the core above the 23rd floor.

The podium crane will not become the SW crane: plans are for the podium crane to erect the SW crane, and then the SW crane will dismantle the podium crane.

Ah okay, thanks for the clarification! My source must have told me wrong...

All three cranes (Potain, Wolff and Favco) will be internal climbing, correct?

The SW Favco will be climbing externally above the 27th floor (not 23rd as I incorrectly stated previously), the others will be jumping internally.

Not sure you can see 3 WTC in this pic, but gives a good impression of the area anyway:

Hey folks, I updated my diagram. I estimated that this building is currently 74 meters or 243 feet tall
