Don't be fooled. The silver is not a new paint scheme. I thought that myself. It's simply where the old paint has been scrapped away. They are repainting it black.

They poured the slab at the level on the east side where the crane had originally been sitting. The floor slab was completed before they halted construction, but there was a hole where the crane tower was. The floor above that was poured today too.

Where's the other crane we heard about? Steel is almost equal on all sides, from what I can tell.

Welcome. The steel frame is rising, the core is being built first and the steel is following as you can see from images above.

Came across this picture taken from 3WTC uploaded the other day, figured I'd share. Amazing view of the memorial.
