Awesome finds Oasis. The first two pics just blow my mind. Downtown Manhattan completely stands on its own in terms of being a world class skyline and yet, a mile north, is a whole other skyline even greater in size.

Right now it looks like top of the formwork/core is at the 56th floor, which is elevation 1168'-6", but the ground floor is elevation 322' so the core has a current height of +/- 846'-6".

Whoa whoa whoa whoa, since when is the base of the tower 300 feet up from the harbor?? I would think 40 feet at best, no? Are you saying that the base of the tower is the street level? Or am I

"elevation numbers'" start at 300ft. below sea level. They do that to avoid having to use negative numbers for the below-ground stuff.

It's amazing after how long this tower Languished as a stump we are almost near the topping out point and by years end the steel erection will be complete and probably clad in its entirety.

Took this pic from a hotel in Brooklyn yesterday morning. Was a beautiful day, high 60's and visibility was high.

Bonus shot. 432 Park in distance, and also 612 First Avenue is visible. Thats the twin towered, angled development right by the UN. To the left of it, the NYU expansion.
