Don't waste your time worrying about it. I believe that individual making the absurd complaint has been banned, or should have been. I will double check and make sure he has been banned.

Glass is progressing nicely. This and CITC are my fave supertalls going up in the US.

Who knows how many times I've said this, but every time I see the glass, I realize I really like the glass, the shade of blue it has, seems slightly different (to me) from the one that was used on 4 WTC and as the cladding climbs I like the stainless steel even more. Thanks to all the users that share the beautiful pictures.

I agree. The steel cladding really emphasizes what sets this apart from its brothers. It would be cool if they lit the cross braces, but I'm sure just the crown will be lit. I think when steel tops out, we'll really see a little more dominance on the skyline.

The more I look at it the more I think it'll look great clad in black glass.

Officials: Crane part hits 3 World Trade Center
Police and fire crews were on the scene late Thursday after part of a crane assembly hit 3 World Trade Center.

The FDNY, the NYPD and the Office of Emergency Management were called to the scene when part of a crane pulley assembly struck the building just before 8:30 p.m. The OEM said the crane part was lodged in a window on the 12th floor of the building.

The cross bracing and the glass looks better than the renders, I really like this one. I am still missing the mini-spires this had simply because it differentiated it from some of the other glass buildings, but with the top mechanical area this will be considerably higher than 4WTC and lend a nice fit to the new design of the complex. I still would rather have Fosters 2 WTC, but the complex will flow nicely if the BIG version is built.

By the way, Eataly opens at 4WTC ... haven't been down in this area to see the progress in person in a few weeks. May have to get some food and check it out!

So it looks like the north setback is next for steel? Also, when are they gonna put glass behind the cross bracing?

That's what I'm most looking forward to now. Hope it turns out well. I don't want them too hidden. The WTC towers are starting to look a little too repetitive. 7, 4, 1 all too similar in the look with the glass. But 3 with the cross bracing gives something different.
